Visioneer OneTouch PowerTools is a free plug-in for Visioneer OneTouch which brings an even greater level of flexibility to the user during the scanning experience. It has been designed for users who need additional features including the ability to use a custom naming scheme, prompt for the file name and/or folder, scan to the currently selected PaperPort folder and/or be able to right-click on a folder in 'My Computer' or 'Windows Explorer' and set it as the scan destination. Often users scan into a default folder and then name file and drag into the correct folder at a later stage. Now with OneTouch PowerTools these steps can be eliminated as it can all be done at the time of scanning.

Scan to Mulitiple Destinations

In addition to scanning to your selected folder location, you can now also email the file, print a PDF or send to another application.

Name a file during scan time

This is particularly useful to those users who want to name their files for easy indexing. Currently when you scan a file, OneTouch assigns the file with a generic file name such as OT001, now with OneTouch PowerTools (BETA) you can give the file a relevant name which relates to the content the scanned document during the scanning process.

Select Saving Location for Scanned File

With OneTouch, through transfer to Storage, the document is sent to a set location, configured before scanning. Unless this location is changed OneTouch will only scan to this location. Now with OneTouch PowerTools, the saving location can be selected and changed at scan time.

Remember previous names and saving locations

This is done through the 'remember last name used' and 'remember last folder' facilities. This is particularly useful in accounts departments, where they might have several invoices for different customers, eg if 'last name used' is 'Invoice A' and the next invoice is for company B then all they need to do is replace A with B to get 'Invoice B'. As OneTouch PowerTools also remembers the last folder used so you can be assured that all invoices will go in Invoice Folder.

Visioneer OneTouch PowerTools Plus

Now you can make any alterations to your scanned image during the scanning process, including a variety of image enhancement and processing features including: blank page removal and job separation, edge cleanup, black background scanner cropping, page rotation and redaction. This utility supports to following file formats: BMP, JPG, GIF, PNG, TIFF Group 4 (CCITT4), TIFF LZW, TIFF uncompressed, TIFF Group 3 and TIFF RLE Compression.
